A crossover between Diablo 4 and Call of Duty isn't exactly a natural fit, both from an artistic perspective and a gameplay one, and as a result, some players from the Diablo community couldn't help but voice their displeasure over the shared content. While Diablo 4 was a major success for Blizzard at launch, its honeymoon stage wore off fast, and fans began to passionately demand the quality-of-life changes that Diablo 4 was missing. The release of the controversial Patch 1.1 and the accompanying Season of the Malignant saw a lot of players leave the game, as Diablo 4's viewership on Twitch plummeted by over 98% since release.
